Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. |
Step 2
Grease a bundt pan well and set aside. |
Step 3
In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt. |
Step 4
In a large measuring cup, mix together the milk and orange liqueur (or orange juice). |
Step 5
In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, cream together the butter and sugar until well combined. |
Step 6
Add the eggs, vanilla and orange zest. Mix until you have a creamy looking mixture. |
Step 7
Add the flour mixture and, with the motor running on medium, drizzle in the milk and orange flavored liquid. Mix just until the batter is smooth. |
Step 8
Pour into the prepared pan and bake until cooked through, around 1 hour and 10 minutes. Check by inserting a toothpick into the center. If it comes out clean, the cake is done. |
Step 9
Allow to cool completely, then invert the cake onto a platter. |
Step 10
Dust with confectioners' sugar or make a drizzle of confectioners's sugar and water to glaze over cake. |
