Yellow Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup Baking Free™ Gluten-Free all purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk

Directions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2
Grease and flour one 8" X 8" pan or line a muffin pan with paper liners.
Step 3
In a medium bowl, cream together the sugar and butter.
Step 4
Beat in eggs, one at a time, and then stir in vanilla.
Step 5
Combine baking powder and flour. Add to the creamed mixture. Mix well.
Step 6
Stir in milk until the batter is smooth.
Step 7
Pour or spoon batter into the prepared pan.
Step 8
Bake for 30-40 minutes (for cupcakes, bake 20 to 25 minutes).
Step 9
Cake is done when it springs back to the touch or a toothpick to the center comes out clean.
